I know what you mean about projects almost abandoned. I have to crochet an edge on DB Tie fronted silk cardigan (fear of messing up delays me); Colinette jacket still to be sewn up only; Several smaller projects that have been started and abandoned for something prettier, softer, easier...........We are but fickle humans after all :):)

Well done on emovng on. You should work on something you love at all times! I think Kirstens idea of a Time Out Chair for misbehaving projects is a great one.

*lol* Good for you! I'm all for finishing projects, but sometimes, some things just have to hang in there unfinished for awhile. And then I figure, some things never should have been started in the first place.

Feel free to switch up your archives to look like mine. Did you mean the drop-down list on the sidebar, or the way they're arranged when you go looking?

Because I used to have this cool feature where you could just see the titles, and then click to expand/summarize them. That didn't work with my haloscan comments, though. :( I'm trying to get it back.

Is that Kate Hepburn wearing that vest? Because if not, bless you for being able to see past the model and look at the knitting. Yeesh, she ruins it.

Hello Yarn has some good-looking skull & crossbones charts. Angry ones here (maybe just do one of the skulls instead of multiple ones for fingerless gloves) and plain skulls here.

Before I switched to the new blogger, I had some WIP meters on my sidebar. There was a Time-Out Chair there for misbehaving projects, like the Pi Shawl and the baby jacket (the baby's about 6 months old; it's not too late) (yet). Sometimes you and the project need to take separate vacations, see other needles. Hang out with different stitch motifs and get to second base with other yarns. It happens.

I think its a good thing to put something aside thats causing you heartache, you suddenly come across it a while later and get new enthusiasm for it again!
I'm in a different dilemma in that I want to cast on for something but there are so many things I want to cast on for that I end up not casting on at all!

Sometimes.... really... all you can do is put aside the thing giving you a road block (mental or otherwise) and start something new and fresh so you can get recharged again. Which of those lovely projects are you starting first?
