The (final) one about hair
It began right before my 44th birthday. The conviction about colouring my hair and then the commitment to follow through on what I’d started. And so it ends. Besides there’s nothing new with fibre. Might as well have a hair retrospective.
Went to the hair salon this week. Bit of a momentous occasion. What might be to someone a simple periodic trim, for me was to be the final step. The closing of a chapter. The end of my angst. The last bit of dyed hair was being cut off and I am a new au naturale me.
So, a brief glimpse back.
October…dyed-brown hair highlighted with blond to minimise changeover roots issue.

Thanks for showing us the new hair I’d really love to see your face though!!!! Hope you are happy with the result.

It really looks great on you. I have been toying with whacking all of mine off….again….. maybe for the summer heat; we’ll see. The amount of trauma and angst in the house over it (not mine, but my husband’s) sometimes isn’t worth it.

I have watched your seamless transition and it looks fabulous. I wish I could be brave to stop the highlights…

Your haircut is very young looking. I think that’s more important than the color, which looks great by the way. My husband has been grey since his early thirties, and I really like it…OK, I will admit that I’m not sure if I’m grey or not. I do seem to have more wirey “blonde” hairs that I used to though.

So long as you are happy with it that’s what is important. I like it BTW. Hair colour is my one real vanity.
