Wee Weekend Diversion

Question: When do babies consider the schedules of the adults around them? Answer: Never.

I love the way babies have a blatant disregard for inconveniencing the adult world. Yet-To-Be-Named-Baby-Tabb made his arrival in the world last week. And even though I’m in the midst of knitting the cabled jumper and beginning to turn the heel on the second sock, Baby Tabb has given me cause for a knitting diversion. And I have to say…..it’s a delicious one!

Don’t have too many friends having babies anymore. But what joy to rummage through books and dig through yarns to create this ‘welcome-to-the-world’ gift.

  1. Oh, now that’s just got to be one of the cutest hats ever! I can imagine it in royal blue & crimson. Hmm… maybe socks aren’t in my immediate future. ;)

  2. It’s so cute. What a great pattern and well executed - I’m sure the recipient will be well admired in his cotton hat.
