The socks look really well. And aren't handknitted socks the warmest you've ever worn. Look forward to seeing the next pair.

Those are fabulous socks - and I'd be washing them every night so I could wear them ever day.

I'm on my fourth pair of socks and still can't get over the fact that I'm managing to knit them and people are wearing them. Take a bow!

Nice socks! Sounds like an awfully nice day out as well. What fun.

BTW, I am a total sucker for "The Quiet Man" and I don't even care how real it is. :)

hi Cheryl,

don't know about the capuccino, I am more a sheer coffee type of person - but the socks look good:)) the excitement of wearing them has worn off with me, after knitting and wearing hand-made socks for a long time. but not the excitement of having another pair finished - that still feels good! somehow I'd prefer to knit socks for one-legged persons, the second one always drags on (I actually tried to avoid the 2nd leg boredom by making two differently to form a pair - but most people lack the confidence of wearing different ones in style:(() so, to get a bit more excitement into the sock knitting - I started to knit with regia bamboo for a change. and as soon as my teeswater top is spun I'll use some handspun to see how that looks and feels - so maybe I will get the feeling of self-suficiency back then, when even the yarn is handspun? pity, that it isn't from my own sheep:))
jump at the next pair - and enjoy it! once you're bored you can always start them differently, put lots of pattern into them etc.:))
