not to worry - if you ever put a brand new, hand spun and hand knitted cashmere cardie through the 60 deg. C cycle - let me know if it feels the same:)) quite some time ago - but the loss still hurts! as soft as cashmere is - felted it was as stiff as a board....

I know I linked to it in one of my recent posts, but there WAS that time I baked a ham without removing its plastic wrapper. I basted that plastic and everything.

And my mom would remind me to include the time I slipped and fell in the middle of a giant mud puddle, wearing good clothes because I'd just had pictures taken, because I was running with my eyes closed. My mom laughed SO HARD at me that day. I mean, it was a really huge mud puddle. When she asked, "Well, didn't you SEE IT?" I stopped crying long enough to say, "No! I was running with my eyes closed!"
Followed immediately by, "IT'S NOT FUNNY!"

And yet, 28 years later, I can't stop laughing.

Well, I kept running things through the dryer ... after I'd found gum on the first load. I just didn't think that the gum would've gotten stuck inside the dryer, and would contaminate all the subsequent loads, too.

A couple of days ago I hemmed a pair of shorts without making sure that the legs were the same length. They weren't.

Enjoy the move. ;)

This was the thing that happend to my son the other day. He went to a game arcade in the night because he was bored at home. He went to the bathroom there. He wetted a bit the front of his pants because he didn't pull the zipper down completely. He put his mobile phone there and went to the basin and washed the front of the pants with water. The basin was about one meter from the mobilphone. After washing his pants with water eagerly, he noticed that his mobilephone disappeared. sigh.....

Could be worse. I had an employee who thought her computer was running a little slowly, so it needed a good cleaning, and since it had vent fins in it like her coffee machine, she poured an entire bottle of white vinegar into it. There is a reason why I gave up being a general and went back to being a foot soldier. :)

Oh my! I think that we are all a little guilty of doing stupid things. In fact, I even have a special category in my blog for my own brand of personal stupidity under the heading of "duhh"

I hope you have a great weekend.

Oh Cheryl, sorry to hear about your phone. Hope you are able to get a new one quickly. I'm forever leaving things in pockets and never bothering to check, although I think I'll be a bit more careful as I've just had a washing machine engineer here this morning as the filter was clogged up causing the machine to stop. ( a bra hoop, 2e, and 10c coins and a screw did the damage.)

Oh, Cheryl! I never check the pockets before tossing stuff into the wash either. So far the worst I've managed has been ink pens, which can create its own set of problems.
