A taste of home
Ahhhhh…….
In Dublin, there used to be a place called Fado’s on Dawson Street. Would you believe there is another branch of the same restaurant in Columbus, Ohio? It’s probably the closest thing to a ‘real’ Irish pub in the US midwest. So, to celebrate the occasion of our being in the same city at the same time, Traveling-For-His-New-Job-Husband-Will and Also-Traveling-But-To-Different-Locations-With-The-Kids-Cheryl took ourselves over to Fado’s for a pint.

Columbus, OH, is home to the Blue Jackets. If it were hockey season, I’d demand that you attend a game so that I could live vicariously through you (the arena is very nice). You’re lucky, it’s july.
So cool that you could find a real Irish pub in Columbus, but be honest: does it really taste the same?

Wonderful that you could find a pub that feels (a bit) like home when you and your hubbie are in the same city!

I used to order Guinness after my friend and I visited the Guinness Brewery in Dublin and thought it was soooo good. I’ve given up since then. The American “version?” just seems too bitter
