Bloggin’ Stone

See this?

See that big moss covered rock, there?

It’s my bloggin’ stone. Not to be confused with the Blarney Stone, mind you. And no need to go upside down or kissin’ it either.

You see, we’ve shot into the 21st century with electricity, but have yet to make it with internet access. So, to retrieve email, I wander out the gate and go to the bloggin’ stone where I can nick the neighbour’s wifi. Winter rains and cold mean that unfortunately, no lengthy internet surfing or blog reading/commenting. And I do miss that. But we’re working on it.

But yet, there’s much to be thankful for…and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

  1. I’m thinking that you just need to get a WiFi access point, hidden there on the blogging stone, and it should boost your signal enough to get to the house. That & a long extension cord… and you don’t have to buy WiFi. Oh. Wait. Umm … yeah. ;)

Glad you’re still going at it.

glad to see the rock! Your other half was telling us about it when we saw him last. Don’t know if he’ll join us today before heading back tomorrow, but we’re wishing you both the best of Thanksgivings, which I imagine you’ll be observing tomorrow? Anyway, all the best to you! (picture of bird at greenwood post. . . .)

  4. Good luck with achieving in-house Internet. It does look like a nice rock, though. :-)

  5. I love that low-tech approach to hi-tech!

First I though that maybe your blogging stone is where you go when you need to figure out something to blog about. The Great Mysterios Blogging Stone! I would need one of those. :)

I really like your blog btw.

  6. Its strange that a rolling stone gathers no moss!, but maybe you just need to roll that stone right inside and maybe your internet will work.

  8. I say just embrace it: build a little gazebo over the rock to keep out the rain…a nice little bench…some flowering vines…
