Tried and True Blue
Knitting a ‘tried-and-true’ pattern is like visiting an old friend.
Daughter-Kate has worn out her miniaturized-for-petite-hands Fetchings. Time to make another pair…winter’s here and hands get cold!

Her choice? Blue of course.
Pattern: Knitty.com Fetchings
Pattern Adjustment: Took out 5 stitches, casting on only 40 for 11-Year-Old-Petite-Hands
Yarn: Inca Fiber Concept, made in Peru and purchased at Craftspun Yarn, no label of what the contents are, but cute picture of an alpaca. Figure an alpaca/wool combination. Very soft!
Colour: 023 Blue

hi, Kate’s pretty, petite, hands! Nice to see ‘em. . . . And I guess these aren’t Christmas presents, eh? Or an early delivery. . . .
Second Tudora is done; working on a third. [grin] My mission: populate this part of the planet with pretty Tudora-wearing women!

It is always good to have a pattern that is tried and true like Fetching. I’ve made several of those myself.
I will soon make the Tudora, for myself first, then we will see if my daughters come looking for one of their own. It looks to be a good tried and true pattern.
Best wishes…

I LOVE “Fetching”. I’ve made two pair so far and need to get a few more done for Christmas. It is one of my favorite patterns, besides “Tudora”!

I would believe they are really warm too, if the alpaca content is high?

I love your blog and do look forward to trying my hand at the fetchings. G’daughter #1 will love them.

I was so excited when I saw your miniaturized version of Fetchings. I have tiny hands and feet (I’m 18!) so I always have to knit kids’ patterns. But now I will be able to try the modified version–thanks!
