I certainly hope that the bug treatment will get rid of your worms. It is such a beautiful cabinet, but then I am nuts over primitive pieces of furniture.

I’m just sitting here hyperventilating just by contemplating packing up to move — even if I do hire someone. I imagine them going through my stuff saying things like, “Who would hang on to this junk?” So I’d have to, like, pack before the packers came to pack.

OHHH so beautiful. You know back in the States people pay big bucks to get that effect with the worm wood. It will be beautiful to have that piece as a reminder of Ireland. I have been trying to figure out how to get some of these beautiful blubs from holland in our packing but hubby thinks I will bring over the next gypsy moth epidemic.

after a lot of moving and a lot of packing, we’ve reached the same conclusion : let the professionals come in and pack up !!! don’t know about you, but we’re too old now to do this ourselves ;-DDD it would be too sad to burn this yarn cupboard

I wouldn’t call it exactly “little” but nice nonetheless:)) but are you seriously saying that you let strangers pack your textile stash??? shock, horror - I’d never let anyone touch mine - who knows what kind of funny ideas they’d get with it:)) though I suppose they might not be too happy to do the packing anyway…..

That is really a beautiful piece. I hope the bug killer works! I look forward to pictures of it holding your cones and skeins of yarn in your new studio (I don’t think it’s too lofty a term). I, too, am looking forward to reading about your new life in the good ‘ol U.S.
