A harvest…
…at last.
So, we didn’t have a veg patch.
The grapes were ravaged by fungus.
The berries under-produced in the shade.
But the few spontaneously-purchased herbs tossed haphazardly into a bed actually yielded a harvest.
Now, with the larder stocked and the barns filled to capacity, I’m ready for winter.
(Ahem, pinch me, I was having a brief Ma Ingalls moment…)
But a very cheery sight will greet us this winter, a wonderful reminder of summer’s bounty.

My goodness, but how quickly you’ve settled into your new home.
I have better luck with herbs than anything else. I’ve never tried drying them , though.
(Love the Little House on the Prairie reference!)
Thanks for your tutorial on coffee. I’ll know what to order the next time I head into a coffee shop. Though I love cafe au lait, it’s hard to find.
I’m currently drinking PG Tips every morning. I’ll have to try to find the teas you mentioned.

what do you expect after such a short time - and what would you do with a filled barn anyway?:)) I am sure it’s going to be nice to use your herbs during the winter - a little taste of the last summer!

Congrats on your harvest. I never thought of drying my herbs. I have an overabundance of tomatoes
