NaKniSweMo?
More like StiKniSoFroLaMo* for me.
How do people do it? I’m dumbstruck.
It’s not merely the fact that they’ve knit a pair of socks in October and then flow effortlessly into finishing a complete sweater in November. It’s the fact that they’ve successfully deciphered the secret language abbreviation!
Who started all this?
Frankly, I figure it’s the NaNoWriMo chaps who are to blame.

being one of the slower knitters on the planet, i too am dumbstruck by those who can start and finish more than one thing a month. socks look great though!

Am so with you here, takes me a long time to finish socks. Slowly but surely for me, I am on my second month and not sure I will finish them this month!!!
Admittedly I have been doing little projects in between and needed an updated pattern but still stuff like that keeps me interested.
Your sock is extra special because it is very long!! Prettttyyy

Well, that’s not just ANY sock — it’s a knee sock and an intricate one to boot! I’m trying to knit a sweater on the sidelines, so to speak, but it’s only to try to keep myself focused on a gift sweater that I feel obliged to make — how nice is that? heh. But I still don’t think I am going to make it. But it’s something to keep us from getting too dreary in November, I guess.

I’m in there with Jackie: I’m pretty slow to begin with.
Plus my socks take infinitely long to get around than your average sock, not to mention the hours of math required to adapt the pattern for Oompah Loompah legs.
I am noting, however, that we are seeing only one sock… Don’t get me wrong, it’s a lovely sock, even in its loneliness…

Glad you are back. What a gorgeous sock. I’m afraid I have a couple of single socks waiting for their mate to be completed.

I knew I was going to be out of town the first week and a half of Nov., so NaSweKniMo wasn’t even a temptation for me. I have, however, done NaNoWriMo before…three times, in fact, and I met the 50K word mark two of those three times. Honestly? I think the sweater-in-a-goal month thing would be WAY less stressful. The novel thing is pure craziness. :}
