To Those Living on the East Coast…
…I’m really, really, really, really sorry.
Little did I know that my innocent desire for the postponement of spring would result in 5 inches of snow in Alabama, call off school in Washington, DC and generally wreak havoc on the eastern seaboard. Ah the power of the written word!

Good news is…I’m wearing my newly knitted winter woolly socks today.
You’ve got the power!!

Thank you for keeping the snow on your side of the Appalachians. We here in W. PA are very grateful. We can actually see the ground for the first time in months.
Your socks look lovely. And warm. Does your daughter try to steal them? Around here, anything warm and wooly is fair game.
Congratulations on the new job. I hope it is great fun.

Don’t forget the -21F with windchill!

Oh, so YOU’RE the one responsible for my 2 hour 45 min. drive home????? (a distance that usually takes 45 minutes when there’s HEAVY TRAFFIC)
Sigh.

LOL, I’m glad to know they’re going to get at least one wearing before being packed in a dark and dreary drawer for 6 months1

Isn’t March supposed to come in like a lion? Enjoy your woolly goodness.

We only got about 5″ and it is only the beginning of March. We’ve had snow as late as May and even June before so this is nothing.
I just love your socks! Absolutely gorgeous!

Hooray about the socks! But I always seem to miss the snow–first in England, and now in Washington! K x

Do your powers extend beyond meteorological phenomenon? Because there’s a leak under the bathroom sink that no one seems to be able to fix.

Thanks for keeping that weather over there! I’m so glad we had already discussed the fact that we didn’t need it here, who knows what would have happened!

If I had realized this, I would have dedicated my most recent rant to you!

Oh dear Cheryl, it seems you have powers you did not know about!
The weather has turned all wintery on us over here too. I suppose it is as well that I didn’t rush off to the garden centre last weekend after all.

Those socks are the bomb! But I have to correct you–DC schools were NOT canceled! Can you believe that? They used to close under the THREAT of snow. Not with this new Chancellor. A blizzard can’t keep the schools closed now!

… and don’t they just look fabulous! I love green – sigh!

Spent 54 years, 3 blizzards in central Ohio. Moved West. While you were inundated with Winter just now, Southern California was Sunny, mid 50’s, sunburn weather. I remember winter, though, and I feel for you.

Haha actually here in upstate New York we reached the mid fifties today! No hard feelings here

Thank you for 15 inches of very heavy (perfect-snowman) snow on my walkway, sidewalk, and driveway this past Monday, which resulted in the company I work for opening late! Sadly, I was too tired after an hour of shoveling to make The Perfect Snowman.
Off topic, but do you have any advice about knitting socks? I’m a first-timer and I L-O-V-E love your pattern. I have this great sock yarn that I got at Lambspun of CO (lovely shop) on vacation and I try to get it on the itty bitty little DPNs but it’s proving very difficult. sigh.
P.S. The last time I tried to start a pair of socks, I ended up with the arm of a sweater because the fair isle pattern was too pretty to hide under pants – er, trousers.
