Nota Bene
The kindness of others around the world has given me the impetus to do a bit of a postscript blogpost…
I don’t speak French or German or Portuguese, but that obstacle hasn’t prevented my one-off knitting pattern from being translated into other languages. Many thanks to other knitters around the world, for now this simple little pattern is multi-lingual. You can find the various links posted below…
Original ENGLISH language Tudora, as published by http://knitty.com.
You can find FRENCH Tudora here. Many thanks to Canadian knitter Carole D’s efforts in making the translation and to Helene for posting the instructions on her blog.
To request a GERMAN translation of Tudora click here. Thanks to Strumpfbina for her work!
The PORTUGUESE Tudora translation can be found here. My appreciation to Renata for it!

It’s good to see a post from you after this long, Cheryl. I hope you’re keeping well in The States.
If you even need a version translated “as gaeilge”, just let me know. : )

so cool to see something here from you, Cheryl! I was all excited to see the BOLD type in my reader that indicated there was a new post. . . . I vote “yes” on the “as gaeilge”, Aoibhe – how cool is that?! So many languages that this pattern of Cheryl’s has been translated to. What a very gratifying accomplishment.

As gaeilge – that would be fun. I am still struggling with learning gaeilge – 4 years of intermittent classes and I can recognize a few words. Big plans to move to Seattle but gaeilge classes will continue for a few weeks – maybe.

So good to see a post from you here.
I hope you enjoyed your summer with the kids off school and that you are still loving your job.
Take care!

A beautiful pattern! Lovely to have it in other languages. A knitting friend just bought a book of wonderful Japanese patterns, she’ll just have to puzzle them out.
